Grease Sump Seal
1Apply food-grade silicone grease to lubricate the O-ring and threads on the sump, then proceed to install the O-ring in the filter sump.

Sump Thread Lube
2Lubrication of the sump threads will assist in the easy removal of the sump when it's time to change the drop-in filter cartridge.

Cartridge Alignment
3Place the filter cartridge into the sump and align it with the notch at the housing's bottom.

Complete Installation
4Place the sump into the filter cap and turn clockwise to secure the filter. Hand-tighten, then use the provided wrench for an extra quarter turn.
